The Varanasi branch was established on 9th April 1989. The branch has been growing ever since its inception and today Varanasi branch of the central India regional council is one of the key branches not only in Uttar Pradesh but in the entire central India regional council. the responsibility taken upon by the first chairman of our branch CA.GhanshyamDas and Secretary CA M.B Gabhawala of making the branch as one of the key drivers for institutes activities has been very successfully taken upon and carried on by coming office bearers and now by the continuing chairman CA. Arun Kumar Gupta and Secretary CA Som Dutta Raghu.
The objective of the working of the branch has been and always will be to serve to the needs of the members and students and be instrumental in carrying out the activities of the institute successfully. The branch is committed to the highest standards of service for its members and to maintain a polite and professional manner in the contact with members.
The foundation stone for the Branch Building was laid on 27th November, 2011 by the President of the Institute CA. G RAMASWAMY
The branch building was inaugurated by CA. Naveen N D GUPTA, president of the Central Institute on 20TH January 2019 in the Presence of Vice President CA. Prafulla P Chhajed.
The branch has its own office premises which were inaugurated on 20th January 2019 by the President of the institute of chartered accountants of India CA. Naveen N D GUPTA. The chairman of branch at that time was CA. Shishir Uppadhyay and secretary was CA. Arun Kumar Gupta.
Today the branch is one of the largest branches with a total strength of 679 members and a total strength of students of 3500+. The city has the reputation of the producing quality chartered accountants. Over the years the city has produced renowned chartered accountants who have not only earned the reputation in their own field but has set an example to follow for others. the senior members of our profession have always been a role model for the upcoming chartered accountants and have always been at the fore front of the activities of the branch. The branch has a brain trust committee consisting of the senior members of the branch to help the members of the branch in various professional areas.

Imparting knowledge has become the key area of activity of our institute. The institute has taken various steps in this area like conducting of the cpe seminars, residential refresher course etc.
Varanasi branch also conducts study circle meeting every Saturday for members to keep their knowledge updated on the professional subjects. The renowned and expert faculties are called in the meeting who remove the doubts of members about the subjects.
The branch has been at the outset very active in conducting quality cpe seminars and providing members access to the large world of knowledge. The speakers at the seminar are a very highly qualified faculty not only from the local level but also from the national level. The Varanasi branch has been a successful host to various conferences, seminars and contests. The Varanasi branch has had a history of organizing a good number of seminars, workshops, and study circle meetings.
The branch is not only working towards the betterment of members but also towards the growth of the students. The Varanasi branch has been very active over the years in organizing student activities.
